Tampo

Dear Lia,

Today, i'm working from home like I usually do on Mondays. Something that your mama is envious about. I can spend more time with you while working. Earlier, you showed signs of toddler tantrums. You were asking for me to hand you your ball which was on the table but I didn't understand you at that time. You patiently waited and asked again. I thought you were just making baby conversations again. Until the third time you suddenly cried.

That's when your yaya Linda pointed out you were asking for your ball. That's when I saw it and we tried to hand it over to you but you wouldn't have anymore. You were making 'tampo' na. And walked out going into the other room and cried a bit more. I think you felt disappointed you were being ignored of your request.

So I followed you to the room and carried you and said sorry. Then you were back to your happy self and got your ball.

Many have commented that you are a happy baby. Indeed you are! We hope we can bring you up to be as happy as you are now or more. There's always reason to be thankful and for me and your mama, you are that reason.

Dear Lia,

You're almost 2! It's been some time since I posted but Daddy and Mommy have been busy with the Spa. Now, we have more time.

You bring us joy and sanity in the otherwise depressing days your mama and I have been facing the past year. Every time we go home, we happily meet you with your ever cheerful mood and innocent smiles.

Recently, you've been enthralled by an App in your mama's iPhone. So much so that you watch that until you get to sleep. Now, you've imitated one of the scenes there where the princess cries "boo-hoo-hoo" when she lost her ball in the story. That's the face you are making in the picture below. Hehe.

Boo-hoo-hoo
Looks like you'd enjoy entertaining people. That's a great treasure that you give to not only us but also to your Lolo Papa and Lola Mama.

Love you,
Daddy
